Auction
Yes, the 2009 JVCS Auction is over!
Thank you for your generosity. Many people donated and came. They gave of their resources, time and energy to make this event possible. We are so grateful for all who donated, bought and volunteered. You are a blessing.
The 50th auction was a special time of remembering people and events from the past that helped our auction become what it is today.
A special thanks to our auction chairman, Steve Decker, and the auction committee: Reg Kleinsasser, Kenroy Wipf, Dan Reinders, Mike Waldner, and Cindy Loban. Without their leadership, this event wouldn't even get off the ground! Then, we want to especially thank Rebecca Rink, Nancy Boltz and Betty Stahl for their leadership back in the kitchen. The food was, as always, wonderful. Thanks also goes to Bob Glanzer, maker of the fabulous pork sandwiches and Scotty D's tasty pulled pork sandwiches on Monday.
Also thanks to the station supervisors who end up hanging around for nearly the entire auction to make sure everything is running smoothly: Sandy Glanzer, Laurie Walter, Delphia Wiebe, Keith Lewis, Reg Kleinsasser, Chris Hofer - you are all great!
Thanks also to our solicitor team who takes the time to go to businesses and pick up donated items.
Each item that arrives at our auction is passed through the hands of no less than 10 pair of hands to get from the entrance to the exit! Multiplied by over 2000 items, that's alot of shuffling for a really great cause.
There are over 200 volunteers that work in various places, also. Thanks for the time you give.
We thank God for all of this, for it is only through Him that it is all possible!
