Cleanathon

On a sunny day in early spring, the staff and students of JVCS pick up trash on 50 miles of roadside ditches surrounding the Huron area. We are pleased with this opportunity to show service to the Huron community.

The finances raised through this service are used for May and June general fund expenses.

We began doing the cleanathon in 1990 and it has developed into a major fundraiser for JVCS. Last year over $50,000 was raised through this effort.

We have the cleanathon annually to give our students an opportunity to take care of the world God has created, to provice an activity where all K-12 sutdents work together toward a common goal, to give students a vision for supporting our school, to raise the funds needed to supplement tuition, and to give others the opportunity to be a part of the vital ministry of JVCS.

One busy team works their way along their two miles of ditches.
